When surgery is necessary, our cosmeto-gynecologic surgeons make and close every incision with the aesthetic outcome in mind. We know our patients want to look and feel their best, which is why we make the smallest incisions possible and use techniques to reduce scarring. Also, abdominoplasty can now be combined with any of our gynecological procedures. Abdominoplasty is a revolutionary new minimally invasive ‘tummy tuck’ that restores your natural curves. Patients can now choose to have abdominoplasty at the time of their gynecologic procedure.

What is Abdominoplasty?

The new “minimally invasive” tummy tuck utilizes the Pelosi-Avellar technique. Patients are usually back to work within 3 to 5 days. Although the incision size is similar to traditional procedures (called dermatolipectomy), with the new technique, the patient usually can keep her own belly button. This creates a more natural looking appearance.

Vaginal repair/reconstruction

As a woman’s body goes through childbirth and the natural aging process, the muscles and ligaments surrounding her vagina can become damaged or weakened resulting in a condition known as vaginal relaxation. Symptoms of vaginal relaxation may include stress urinary incontinence (SUI), loss of vaginal muscle tone and decreased sexual gratification.

Vaginal repair/reconstruction can improve the effects of aging and childbirth. It will enhance the vaginal muscle tone, strength, and control. It will decrease the internal and external vaginal diameters as well as build up and strengthen the perineal body (the area between the vagina and anus).

Erchonia Laser Technology

The erchonia low-level laser is the ONLY laser FDA-approved for use during liposuction. Patients have less post-operative pain immediately following liposuction-assisted abdominoplasty and during the first week when using the Erchonia low-level laser.

Who benefits from Erchonia laser technology?

• Patients desiring liposuction or liposuction-assisted abdominoplasty as well as breast augmentation;
• Patients undergoing c-sections and hysterectomies;
• Patients desiring chemical peels, or those with scars, wounds, lesions, birthmarks and burns
